Very helpful as always thank you. I'm hoping to apply for my first band 5 rotational positions soon, do you have any general tips for band 5 interviews?
Thanks Liam! We do have a couple of bits on instagram but the main thing is that we are writing a full course on this! Will definitely do a PLclip video alongside it
Great job Khalid.
May I ask how you schedule keeping yourself updated?
Thank you David! Just regular research to be honest! I just pick a topic and see what the latest is on that via searching 🙏🏼
How do you know if you truly have a tendon injury and its not something else? I got the injury from repetitive overuse and the tendon area hurts. I know an MRI can determine tendinopathy but my MRI is scheduled 7 months later, so im wondering if i can do some self test at home.
Sure… I generally listen for the story of overuse + pain on Palpation + resisted tests
Again if you are recommending people lose weight you need to show that weight loss is possible...in the best studies I've seen only 20% of people maintained weight loss after a few years and while it was significant for the study parameters in comparison to total weight it wasn't all that much. Plus dieting can end up making people gain weight. More importantly are practitioners blaming issues on weight that aren't caused by weight and need different interventions? For example how does lymphedema or water retention affect tendons? Weight can be a factor however it's a metric that doesn't move much and can hide other issues because of the culture we have surrounding weight.
